The 482 visa requires an employer. Most agencies sell you a job list and hope for the best. We give you direct access to a verified employer network where every position is confirmed before it reaches you — and we stay with you to the 186 PR finish line.
The 482/186 pathway suits some situations and not others. Here's a direct assessment — no jargon.
Not sure? Book a free assessment — we'll tell you honestly which pathway fits.
The right visa depends on how much experience you have right now. Select your situation below.
You don't qualify for a 482 visa yet — and any agency that suggests otherwise is misleading you. The good news: one year of genuine, verifiable Australian work experience changes everything. That's exactly what our Career Launch Program is built to produce.
Honest note: This is a longer path, but it's the right one. We would rather tell you this now and build your case properly than take your money for a visa you won't receive.
You have the experience. What you need now is an employer who holds current 482 sponsorship approval and is genuinely looking to fill a role in your occupation. That's what our network provides — and it's verified before we introduce you.
Important: The SAF levy, nomination fees, and visa application charges are paid by your sponsoring employer — not you. RedBridge's fees cover placement and program support only.
With 3 or more years of relevant experience and a skills assessment, you may qualify to bypass the 482 stage entirely and lodge a 186 Direct Entry application — moving straight to Permanent Resident status if the nomination is approved.
Note: Direct Entry requires a skills assessment, which can add 2–4 months to your overall timeline. We begin this process in parallel with employer matching to minimise delays.
A clear, milestone-based process — no surprises, no vague timelines.
Your consultant reviews your occupation, experience, and visa history. You receive an honest eligibility verdict and recommended pathway.
Week 1We search our verified network for employers with current sponsorship approval and an open position matching your occupation and salary requirements.
Weeks 2–8Our legal partner Insight Idea prepares and lodges the sponsorship nomination and your visa application — all documentation reviewed for completeness.
Weeks 4–16Visa granted. We brief you on your rights and obligations as a 482 holder, and begin planning your 186 transition timeline from day one.
Month 3–12We only present you to employers we have personally vetted. Every organisation below holds current 482 sponsorship approval and has an active or ongoing need in your occupation.
Our strongest network. We work with Australian businesses across software, systems infrastructure, project management, and digital transformation who consistently require ICT professionals.
Our second core network. We place Marketing Specialists, Digital Marketing Managers, and Business Development professionals with employers across retail, services, and professional industries.
Don't see your occupation? Book a free consult — we assess all occupations individually.
Verify every employer before presenting them to clients — sponsorship approval status, genuine vacancy, and salary against TSMIT confirmed by our team.
Give you an honest eligibility assessment at the free consultation — including telling you clearly if you don't yet qualify for a 482 application.
Work with a MARA registered legal partner in the same office. Insight Idea's Registered Migration Agent (MARN: 1467870) is based at the same Docklands address as RedBridge. Your consultant and your migration agent are down the corridor from each other — no handoffs, no communication gaps.
Structure fees across milestones so you pay as outcomes are delivered, not as a single upfront sum before work has begun.
Plan your 186 PR transition from the moment your 482 is granted — so you're not scrambling 18 months later.
We don't send unverified job lists and call it a placement service. Every employer introduction is personal and specific to your profile.
We don't guarantee visa outcomes. No agency legally can — and if one tells you otherwise, that is a red flag worth taking seriously.
We don't take your money if you don't qualify. If your free assessment reveals the pathway isn't achievable, we say so before any fees are discussed.
We don't fabricate work experience to boost your assessment score. Assessments built on false history fail — often with serious legal consequences for the applicant.
Where you start determines your route — not your outcome. Select your current situation to see your personalised visa track.

Plain answers to the questions we get asked most often about the 482 and 186 process.
You need at least 1 year of full-time work experience in an occupation closely related to your nominated position. The experience must be relevant, recent, and verifiable — payslips, employment contracts, and reference letters are standard documentation. Experience from overseas counts, provided it can be documented to the same standard.
Yes — if your occupation is on the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL), you can apply for the 186 Transition Stream after 2 years of working for your sponsoring employer. For 3+ years of experience, the 186 Direct Entry stream may allow you to skip the temporary visa stage entirely and apply for PR directly.
Your sponsoring employer is legally required to pay the Skilling Australians Fund (SAF) levy and all nomination and sponsorship costs. Visa application charges (payable to the Department of Home Affairs) are typically paid by the employer as well, though this can be negotiated. RedBridge's program and placement fees are charged to the client and are separate from government fees.
TSMIT — the Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold — is the minimum salary a 482 visa holder must earn. Your nominated salary must meet or exceed this threshold and must also be equivalent to the market salary rate for the same role in Australia. The TSMIT is reviewed annually by the Australian Government; your Insight Idea migration agent will confirm the current figure during your application.
Our employer network is strongest in ICT and Marketing, but we assess all occupations individually. If your occupation is on an eligible skilled list and we have employer connections in your field, we will tell you. If we don't have the right network for your occupation, we will tell you that too — at the free consultation, before any commitment.
The typical timeline from your first consultation to 482 visa grant is 3 months to 1 year. The range reflects three variables: Department of Home Affairs processing times (which change regularly), whether your employer already holds standard business sponsorship approval, and how quickly your documentation is gathered. Your consultant will give you a specific estimate based on current processing times during your free assessment.
Your free eligibility assessment takes 30 minutes. You'll leave with a clear answer — not a brochure and a phone number.
